by a want of patronage to the Wesleyan Mansion ;
lot, in that respect, it has been sustained beyond

r w ill bn able to do a larger amount of good, with V
’ more pleasure and profit to himself, than he has
3 been able to do, in Monroe. '1 he new institution
will consist ol two branches in separate houses, one -
for males, and the other lor females. A competent I ,
female teacher will he employed, to conduct Iho
female branch, tinder the direction of the principal
teacher : but the advanced classes in that branch
will make their reciialions to Iho principal. The "
two Academies arc located at a short distance from .
each other, and the teacher’s dwelling centrally be
tween them: and it is believed that such measures f
hove been adopted as will secure the advantages,
without the disadvantages, of a mixed school. All
tho principal vices, and fashionable extravagancies
ol town and village schools, are effectually exclud
ed from this establishment. The (Academy is fur
nished with an extensive Chemical, Philosophical
■ and Astronomical apparatus, together w.th a nurn
- her Ol large and elegant maps, and other facilities
for the promotion of education. In view of the lo
cality of Farmers Academy situated as it is in one

rate prices. Boarding may be had ul the Academy
and within ihe distance of one mile from it, in the
moat respectable families, for eight dollars, or less,
I per month.
