Mn- Editor —I have ihrno suggestions to
make to the Committee of thirteen. Tho first
is, that their Resolutions should be published,
either in the newspapers, of on a slip of paper,
and distributed some hours before Iho meeting. I
This would prepare tho citizens for hclioh on 1
them, and tend thus to facilitate Iho transaction
of business. Tho importance too, of die.-.o reso
lutions requires reflection and commlera'ion on ,
(he part of the people, before their final adoption. |
Another suggestion, is that the meeting bo held
at three o'clock m the afternoon, and not in the j
morning. Many of our citizens are, so engaged j
in the early pint of die day, (bank men, Ac.)
that it is impossible for them to he present except j
thu meeting b« called m iho afternoon-, thia j
besides, is tho most convenient lime for all to
attend, Tho third suggestion nl, that the meet
ing take place at the Masonic Hat), and that the |
citizens be informed, it will be organized at the j
hour appointed, ami not delayed an half hour 1
