But this syrup contains a loncentraU'il der.oc- |, lion, much stronger than the infusion, amounting e to almost tile whole virtues of the unbalance. „ One leaspoonful of this syrup contains the con- ti rentratod defection of 20 grains within » small c fraction, wliich may bo considered at least, equal to tlio minora dose of the substance, which is 10 grains—two teaspoonfuls 20 grains,and so on. A slight laxative power is given by combining in tlio viiMues of rhubarb and senna. | ( 1 1 is nat certain that any uniform antidote to Ike-, occasional nervine effects of Pink Root is known, | but the best antidotal power hitherto ascertained, ! .. serpontaria is combined ui due propor- ( lion. a ft should be remembered that no vermifuge is , uniformly successful, even when worms are known i J to bo present.
