Cotton. —The transactions in this article
have been light, and the receipts small—about 20
Dales of new Cotton bare come to market and
been sold from wagons at Hi cents. Wo quote
for old Colton 'Tall cents as extremes of the
market.
Gaocenins. —Nothing hardly doing—our
stocks are getting good from lire constant arrivals,
and our Country friends will find our merchants
ready to accommodate them with a good supply
of all dcsciiplions of goods.
Exchanges.—Checks on New York 4 pr. cent
for country money ; 2} pr. cent, for city hills.
Freights continue at old rates, allho’ our
river is getting very low.
