Mr. R. has a numbe.i of specimens from his own pencil, which he will be happy to exhibit to all who will favor him with a visit. He has devoted much time to his collection of materials, studies, designs, &c. His pupils will therefore have the advantage of the best subjects fur the pencil, also the use of many valuable elementary works and essays upon the art. His object willbe to convey a thorough and prac tical knowledge of the study ; not a superficial ac quaintance with the theory of the subject, which will eventuate merely ine jo uoitnaaxa aipj few pretty things. His design will be to make his pupils Artists, which he hopes, with application on their part, to accomplish.
