SAW MILE FOR SALE.
INHE undersigned offers for sale his Mill, for
merly known as.Clietts’,on Butler’s Creek, ten
miles from Augusta. It has jnst been rebuilt of
the best and most substantial materials, and is now
in complete operation —the tract contains between
three or four hundred acres of land, well timbered
with pine anil poplar, and lies broadside to the
Georgia Railroad for one mile —one hundred acres
of said land is of first quality, and capable of being
irrigated, therefore suitable for the culture of the
Morns Multicaulis, or Chinese Mulberry. Its im
mediate contiguity to the Railroad at the first stop
ping place of the cars, renders it valuable property.
Further description is deemed unnecessary, as per
sons wishing to buy will of course view the premi
ses. I will also sell to suit purchasers, lots from
five to fifty acres of land, with good springs of pure
water, with and without improvements, adjoining
the said Mill tract,also lyingon the Railroad. Also
1 will sell a lot of fifty acres with a first rate spring,
and some improvements, adjoining the summer re
sidence of John S. Coombs—and also rent a dwel
ling, blacksmith, and workshops, on the Milledgc
ville road, where it crosses Butler’s Creek.
The above property is offered privately till the
first Tuesday in January next, when if not disposed
of, it will be publicly offered lor sale at the lower
Market house, in Augusta.

OTICE to the creditors of the firms of Slielman
& Lambert, Slielman ot Deighl, Slielman &
Cloud, and the late Augustus G. Slielman, deceased.
Upon a bill filed by the administrators of the late
Doctor Augustus G. Slielman, to have the estate of
their said intestate marshalled and paid to his credi
tors, and in the investigation of said case it appeared
that the assets in the hands of the administrators,
had been derived from the several firms in which
the deceased had been concerned in his life time,
: as well as from his individual property ; and it
moreover appearing that there will he a deficiency
’ of assets to the whole of the several claims, it was
ordered by the court, that there should be allowed
further time, until the 17th dayof January next, for
the several claimants to render in their claims pro
perly authenticated, so that on the said day there
may he a distribution of the funds now on hand;
i and it was further ordered that all claims not ren
' | dered in by or before that day, do lose their loan to
any part or portion of the assets then to be distribu-
I ted, and the undersigned Clerk of the .Superior
Court of the county of Jefferson, was appointed au
ditor, to whom the said several claims will be
handed in, on or before that time, with 11 view to
the payment thereof in accordance with the decree
of the court in the said case.

ers. Planters and traders are earnestly requested
to give the subscriber a call previous to making
purchases else-where, as he is enabled and will
sell as cheap or cheaper, than can be sold by any
other person in the trade.

GEORGIA GRANITE COMPANY.

J that about 8 miles from Augusta there is ap
parently an inxhanstable quarry of excellent Gran
ite, which has been buried in the bowels of the
earth for ages past, and has hitherto been of no
service. In view of this, the subscribers have de
termined that this excellent building material shall
remain no longer dormant for the want of hard
knocks to render it suitable for building. There
fore we have taken a lease of the Quarry, ami en
tered into co-partnership for the purpose of carry
ing on the Stone Cutting business in all its branch
es. We will lay the Stone down in any pail of
Augusta, at the Boston prices, with the freight and
commission from that place to this added. VVe are
now prepared to receive orders for Fronts of :my
description, also Window Caps and Sills, Door.*>.,
Edge Stone, Gutter Stone, and in fact all kinds of
