twelve next day, a servant of Wcinia's with fear
and terror in Ids countenance, earne to me. and
breathlessly, and in hurried and disjointed sylln-

Dr. Mi les, of Cincinnati, is the proprietor of the
Tomato i Pills (proper) for the great benefits of

this is a vegetable of great use, and value, it will

long been knoxn that the Tomato contained ca

the preparation most cheei fully, for the reason that

Entertaining these views, we purpose to lend our

an Intel igent community need only have suitable
fact- pre-ented for t eir consideration, to satisfy
them that the road to wealth is ax open to them
here, as in any of the fertile regions o 1 the West.
We are aware that several va-uable and ably
conducted publications exi-t at the North, devoted
to the interests o the bilk Culture, and that we
shall Drin : but little practical information to the
task wo have imposed upon ourself. But it seems
to us that a work which should record tiro results

include a selection from the most va'uablo artic es
in the Northern periodicals, with an account of all

these feelings we ci mmeml our enterprise to the
patronage of the public, promising that no efforts

both interesting and useful.
It may be proper here to remark, that although
the silk culture is the primary object wo hope to
