Jan 31 25 w3t DANCING ACADEMY.—J.C Smith,respect fully informs his pupils and the public, that at tho expiration of his first course of lessons in dancing, which will take place on the 15th of February, he proposes to give a second course of instruction, con sisting of 24 lessons in one month, each class attend ing daily ; as he feels pursuaded, that by this moans his pupils will make much greater ([progress, and bo enableu to retain his instruction longer, hy practising once every day. Those who are favorably disposed to these views, will please make early application at the school room. Every care will bo taken to guard against accidents, but no responsibility should they occur. Rowton is a good chestnut withoutwhite, fifteen and a half hands high, of great hone and muscle lie is a horse of the finest limbs, and most exa't proportions, and after the exportation of Amphion was considered tho most beautiful stallion in Eng land. His stock are thought very promising, and are selling as high ns the gel of any stallion in the kingdom. By a reference to the sporting periodi cals of the day, Rowton's pedigree and performances may be seen, as also the very high estimation in which lie is held both in England and America. N. In consequence of this arrangement an additional number of pupils, of both sexes, can be accommodated. The School will now consist ot Uyo departments. The Classical and Mathematical will he under the superintendence of Mr. IL, who will teach the Latin and Greek languages—Algebra; Geometry, Surveying, Mensuration, &c. The oili er branches will he taught as heretofore. The following certificates from Professors Stuart and Twiss, of South Carolina College, relative to Mr. ll.’s scholarship, are respectfully submitted: I have examined Mr. Howey with much particu larity, holh in Latin and Greek, and have been quite pleased with the ensoand correctness of his transla tions, especially in Latin, lie appears also lo be familiar with Ihe rules and principles of Syntax.
