NEW SCHOOL.—Mr. Ednev lakes this method
of inlorming the citizens of Augusta and its
vicinity, that he will open an English School in tho
house recently occupied by Mr. Pike, fiir the term
of three months, to commence on Monday the 6th
February, 1837. Having been engaged in tho busi
ness of teaching for fourteen years, ho flutters him
self he will be able to render ample satisfaction, to
parents, guardians and pupils, and therefore respect
rally solicits their patronage.

DANCING ACADEMY. —j. C Smith,respect
fully informs his pupils and the public , that at
the expiration of his first course of lessons in dancing,
which will take place on the 15th of February, he
proposes to give a second course of instruction, con
sisting of 24 lessons in one month, each class attend
ing daily ; as he feels persuaded, that by this means
his pupils w ill make much greater progress, and bo
enableu to retain his instruction longer,'Ey promising ,
once every day. Those who are favorably disposed
to these views, will please make early application

dling full eyes, a good set of teeth, and no beard—he

on the sth day ol December, 18315—1 was informed
by (lie Jailor in said county, that the wench Kntey
was fur gone in pregnancy at the lime of her escape.
I will give the above reward of One Hundred Dal
lam for the delivery of said Negroes to me in Orange
burg District, South Carolina, or Fifty Dallam lor
their apprehension and confinement in any jail in
the Slate of Georgia, so that 1 ran gel them. My
residence is about 2 miles distant from Hrnnchville,
on the Kail Koad, in Orangeburg district.
