fIAHE undersigned has made arrangetm nts for es
-l lahlishing a permanent Boarding School at
Powelton, Hancock county, Georgia. The well
known healthiness of litis village, its quiet and se
cluded situation, and the unostentatious character of
its itizens generally, make it every way, a most eli
gible situation lor a permanent Academy.
A Georgian by birth as well as in feeling, the un
dersigned is delei mined to bend all his energies un
ceasingly to the establishment of an Institution, in
all respects worthy of tho liberal patronage of his
fellow-citizens—a patronage which he solicits so far
only as he shall lie found to merit it.
For the accommodation of Pupils from a distance,
and with a view to tho permancy of his school, Ins
house is now open for the reception of boarders.
The domestic management of liis house will be eon
ducted by Mrs. Ball, formerly of Washington, a
lady long experienced and very favourably known
as a house-keeper.
Mrs. Ladd, a nalive of Virginia, and a lady of es
tablished reputation as an instructress, will give les
sons in all tho ornamental branches of female edu
cation.
