In relation to one of these gentlemen, Dr. Locke,
it should be slated that ho is at this lime in Europe,
and fie Trustees appointed him, believing, from the
, assurances ofhis friends,that he will accept. .Should
, he decline, Chemistry will be taught hy Ur. Yandull
the ensuing winter.
The Institute has been provided with a sufficient
ly extensive Library, Apparatus, and all the appli
ances necessary lor the illustration ol tho several
topics of instruction; ample lecture rooms have been
filled up Ibr their accommodation, with commodi
ous smaller ones attached for Anatomical rooms,
Library, -Museum, <fcc. Clinical instruction will lie
delivered hy tho professors in the Hospital, which is
( now an extensive and well ordered establishment.
As an idea Ims prevailed that 'Oardmg is extrava
gantly high in this city, it is thought proper to slate
that it may be had, including fuel and lights, nt Irom
83 to 8f per week, which is about as low as it can
be furnished in any American city.
The price ol the tickets is 815 to each of the
Professors, and a fee of 85 for Matriculation and the
use of the Library. Graduation fee 920 Payment
will he received in notes of solvent banks of the
j. States in which pupils may reside.
