Advertisements. —Firtt insertion, per square, seventy-fire cpnts, and for each sub sequent successive inseition, thirty seven and a half cents —but monthly advertise ments seventy five cents per square for each insertion, —no advertisement being consid*’ ered less than a square, ind each person’s property advertised by Sheriff, Marshal, or Tax-Collector being estimated as a square. Advertisements, unless limited by law or the advertiser, continued until ordered to be stopped, and charged accordingly. Saies of land and negroes, by’ administra tors, Executors, or Guardians, are required by law, to be held on the first Tuesday in the Month, between the hours of ten in the fore noon and three o’clock in the afternoon, at the court house of the county in which the property is situate. Notices of the sale* of land must be given in a public gazette SIXTY days, and negroes FORTY Jays pre vious to the day of sale. Notice of the sale of personal property must be given in like manner, FORTY days previous to the day of sale. Notice to the debtors and creditors of an estate must be published for FORTY days. Notice that application will be made to the Court of Ordinary for leave to sell land, must be published FOUR MONTHS. Notice for leave to sell Negroes must be published for FOUR MONTHS, before any order absolute can be made by Court. Letters of Dismission fron an estate must be published six months. Given under my band at Darien this fourth day of February, 1835, H W FROUDFOOT.cco feb 5—31 Brought to Darien Jail , ON the 26th December last, a Negro Fel low who says bis name is RICHAfOND and that he ranaway from James Hughs, of South Carolina, but who has since removed to Alabama, on the 4th of Febuary last, he had in his possession a pass signed Lewis Clark, of Abbeville Dist. S. Carolina, but ac knowledges that he obtained it from a school boy, and he was in the act of getting another when apprehended. The said negro is a bout 5 feet 9 inches high, between 30 and 35 years of age, and light complected. C. F. Its likely he will make for Darien, and then to the Nor'b, or be tarried off by some sorry white man. The horse is a dark bay with his left eye out, some sad dle spots on his back and one Hip low er than the other.
