Ion seized several tons of Sweetheart
flaking Powder, made by the Southern
Soda Works, of Nashville, Term , found
in that city. Samples of the baking pow
der were aualizod and found to contain
alum and ground rock. It was declared
dangerous to health and dumped into
the dock.
It is stated that this brand of baking
powder has been placed upon sale in
several stores in this vicinity where it is
retailed at prices from ten to twenty-five
cents a pound. It was being retailed in
New York at four cents a pound. Con
sinners should Jook out for it.
