Lyman has an interesting paper on “The Journal Bark,” which, under the name of quinine is so much used in medical practice. “The Journal of a Hessian Baroness” culls from the letters and journal of Baroness, von Biedesel many curious facts relating to Bttrgoyne’s campaign during the Revolution. “Drifting Down Lost Creek” is a story of East Tenuesse lil'c, by Charles Egbert Craddock, who knows that peculiar life so inti mately and describes it so drama lie ally. This story will be iinished in the April number. Other interesting articles are “Den .John of Aus,na : ” by Alexander V tine: “The Somces of Early Israelii ish History,” an ex cellent example of what is now known as the “higher criticisin' of the Bible, By 'lor.
