KILELD AT EDITH.
Lee Swearingen Killed In Tight
There.
In a row at Edith, Ga., in the
extreme Southern part of this
county, the lirst of last week, Leo
Swearingen was killed with Lish
Alien receiving a painful wound
in the right, arm.
The light grew out of a trouble
Allen had with Swearingen and
Walter Forukers. After previous
shooting, Swearingen advanced on
Allen in the hitler’s store in order
to renew the tight when Allen
drew his gun on Swearingen in an
attempt to make him give up his
pistol to a drummer standing near
to prevent trouble. Allen still
held his gun on Swearingen some
one from the out' Ido, supposed to
be Walter Foreakers, shot a load
into his arm causing his gun to go
off and kill Swearingen.
As a result Lee Sweariagqp ,>is
dead. Wager Foreakers is in jail
at this place, and Li Allen is suf¬
fering from a painful wound in
the arm.
All three of the young men were
reared near Edith and were rolat-
ed.
