Petty politics and mere personal ambition
to hold office have no place tn this most cost
ly and gigantic struggle. This ts no time to
stir up strife and friction. It ts a time when
every patriotic and peace-loving citizen
should work with the utmost endeavor to
bring about perfect harmony and a united
purpose among our people, everywhere, to
tiring this cruel war to a successful conclusion
