Atlanta. October 1 1 21. lias cluing
<>(| Press day at the I'air to I- rida.v
October 17th. President Simmont
who had been asked lo prepare ;-
program also suggested that ii
would be bet ter to lei the "Pres
(Jang” make ; holidaj of the even
and have a good time taking ii
the fair rather than talking shop
For this reason the program part
has been dispensed with and at
some future time the editors will
be invited to Lakewood and things
arranged so that they can have
the whole show to themselves.
Secretary Striplin has just re
turned from a visit to some of flu
big fairs and grand circuit tracks
and says that the amusement fca
t ures of every character will be
the very best in the history of Un
fair and that the entries of the
grand circuit stars will furnish a
racing program such as no other
Southern Fair can present. The
Kentucky running horses which
are going to Havana for the
winter racing will be on the card
as usual and we will have two days
of Auto racing, October 20-21 for
those who want something faster
than the ponies.
Our entries in the live stock,
agricultural and horticultural de-
partments exceed all previous ex
perience, and at this time there
is not an inch of space left in the
Ag rieultural building and we are
ordering tents to take care of the
demand for apace in other depart
ments. We have, of course, anti
cipated an unusually big cattle
and swine show, for we have in
creased our swine premiums until
they are twice that of any other
Southern Fair, and we again ex
peet to have the biggest swine
show in the United States except
the National, and we will have
