ed by council Friday night, were
sworn in by Clerk Russell yesterday.
Tried Many Cases.
Justice Lainbright is holding the
regular monthly session of his court.
Yesterday he tried some forty civil
cases and disposed of them at a rapid
rate. Most of tile cases were suits,
garnishments, etc.
Stockholders to Meet.
The stockholders of the National
Bank of Brunswick and of the Bruns
wick Bank and Trust Company will
hold their regular monthly meeting
today and will elect all officers. It is
probable that the present officers of
both banks will lie re-elected.
Working on the Ligliter.
A large force of hands are at work
on the lighter which sunk near the
quarantine station Saturday, and the.
engine, plainer, and a number of other
things on the lighter will be saved. It
is thought that the total loss will not
amount to more 'than SSOO.
