The Savannah News of yesterday said: . “ W. S. Branham, a Wayeross lawyer, tiled a petition for relief from his debts iu bankruptcy in the office of the clerk of the United States District court on yesterday. Ho has liabilities, repre sented by nnsecurcd claims, aggergating $39,08155, and no assets “The bidders of the claims are resi dents of a dozen cities throughout this country and some in England and Scot land, Most of the claims are for bor rowed money, which the bankrupt seems to have been able to got without security and to spend without leaving in his hands visible assets. ”In tiie list, however, arc claims for goods and merchandise fmr chased by the bankruut from various parties on various occaaious. McCrary. Tne stolen goods are worth exactly fifteen cents and cost the county about twenty-five dollars to try the case. BOARD OF TRADE MEETING.
