Mayor Emanuel returned yesterday morning from Charleston, where he jwent to take in the exposition. Mr. Emanuel says it is a great show, but the small attendance nas discourage ' itie managers. The Mayor thinks the exposition is not only a credit to South Carolina, hut the entire south. Mr. Gustav Kobbe is writing for the New • York Herald and Mr. C. W. Deming for the Chicago Record-Herald. These two gentlemen spent a day on Jekyi together recently, securing material tor their articles.
