ments have been perfected for the
holding of a meeting in memory of
the late John P. Altgeld. ex governor
of Illinois, at Cooper Union on Thins
day, March 27. Among the speakers
who have already promised to lie
present are Clarence F. Barrow, who
was Mr Altgeld's law partner; George
Fred Williams and ex-Congressman
John J. Lentz, of Ohio.

yesterday, "we will have a depot very
soon, and it will he a good one, too.”
It further stated that work would
start on the structure in a short time.
