is expected to visit the city soon.

Mrs. A. P. Wells is rapidly recov
ering from her recent illness.
Mrs. S. C. Atkinson entertained her
friends yesterday at noon with a de
lightful luncheon.

Miss Sage, of Detroit, who has
made scores of friends during her

street, the members of the Progress
club complimented their friends with
a most enjoyable dance. The rooms
were artistically decorated and pre
sented a bright, and attractive appear
ance. A large number were present
and the evening passed away most
agreeably with happy termination of
a daintily served supper. The club
is one of the pleasantest social in
stitutions of our city and numbers
among its members some of our
wealthiest and inosi Influential citi
zens. Their social reunions are al
ways sources of great pleasure and no
expense or trouble Is spared to make
each affair a great success. The
dance last evening was only one of
many! entertainments given by the
club and those who attend hope that
it was the predecessor of many
more.
