ENTERTAINMENT AT THE OPERA
HOUSE LAST NIGHT WAS A
CRAND SUCCESS.
The entertainment given at the •
opera house last night .or the ben
efit of the First Methodist church,
was a success in every sense of the

Every scat in the house was oocu- j

performance. The program was well
arranged and excellently rendered,
and those in charge deserve credit
: for the success of the entire affair.
Among the participants was many
of Brunswick’s best singers and the
music was indeed very pretty. The
leoitntlons. elocutions, drills, •etc.,
v i. a) nicely arranged and well re
ceived tiy the audience.
The Mistletoe Bough, in which a
dost- n or inoie young men and ladies
pm i icipated, was very prettily ren
b red. The costumes were of old
ccionial style aud were all very pret
ty.
As 1 Have Sigueu to Rest Me” and
a number of other pretty songs by
(eminent singers served to greatly
please the audience. In fact, the en
tiiv program was very entertaining,
and iue affair deserved the success
that was accorded it.
