Granted. COMMUNICATIONS: From R. E. Brieseniek, relative to the present method of arbitrating city assessments,, complaining that the system is unjust and discriminating and requesting immediate action in taking steps to correct it. Referred to committee on taxes and revenues. From Chas. L. Hyde, president of the Brunswick and Birmingham rail road company, accepting ordinance passed March Zt, 1902, as required by Section 1. paragraph “J ’’ of said ordi nance. Whereas, practically ail of the signs hearing the names of the streets at. the various street intersections . have been destroyed or defaced: Be it resolved by the Mayor and aldermen of the city of Brunswick, in council duly assembled. That the clerk of council be, and he is hereby authorized and directed to invite and advertise for bids for the furnishing of as many signs as may be necessary with the names of the va. .-streets thereon, the number of such signs with the names of- v. . streets thereon to be so purchased to be de termined by the city engineer and su perintendent of public works, such bids to be sca'cd and to be filed with the clerk by the fourth Thursday of this month. Be it further resolved.
