Neat Piece of Work Done by Man Who Was Recently Caugnt in Glogauer Residence. Lloyd Rogers, the white tramp who was arrested a few weekß ago for en tering the residence of Mr. S. M. Glogaur. on Union street, escaped from the county jail early Sunday morning, and the only thing the man left was a bone key with which he made his escape out of the cell. The white man was in the back cell of the jail, he having been brought down stairs on account of being ill. When Jailor Rudolf went to the mans cell Sunday morning he found the door wide open, and a large hole cut through the brick wall and the white man and a negro named Alex Davis missing. At first tho Jailor was at a com plete loss to understand how the man had unlocked the door to the cell. Looking at the lock he saw a key, and upon examination it proved to be nothing more than a .tone probably a piece of common hair comb. The man keif taken the piece of comb and made a key which opened the two locks on his door and the two on the cell in which was the negro. After getting out himself the man opened the negros cell. The two th -°- cured nails and succeeded in picking a hole in the brick wall large enough to admit them. Tne prtßonera in the next cell say that they heard nothing of the men making weir escape. Had the men not torgol and left the key in the lock their escape would nave been an un solved mystery. Sheriff Berrie and other officers are of the opinion that both the escaped men are stiß in the city and efforts will be mane to capture them. First-Class Inside Wiring.
