THEY ACTED PROMPTLY.
We are very much gratified at the
very prompt manner in which the
Briinswickjtoard of trade joined us in
the light we are making for better
treatment of the people of this city
by the Western Union Telegraph Cos.
At its meeting held Thursday the
board adopted a sot of resolutions
calling upon the telegraph people for
a better service, or at least one com
mensurate with the needs of the city.
Secretary Ogg was also instructed to
take up negotiations with the Postal
Telegraph company, with a view of
endeavoring to have that company ex
tend its lines to this city.
By such prompt action to such mat
tera as this the Brunswick board of
tarde is gradually becoming a strong
factor in the commercial life of the
city arid it is doing lots of other
good things for Brunswick.
