and delivered two able sermons. On
each occasion the church was crowd

At 11 a. m. the Rev. Wylly Rede,
1). D., was solemnly instituted to the
rectorship by Bishop Nelson. Messrs.
C. Downing and William Nightengale,
wardens by the parish, were present
in the chancel, and handed the new

of the congregation. The Rev. Messrs.
Craighill, of Darien, Russell, of Way
cross, Winn, of St. Simon, and Cas
sill. Perry, and Bradley, of Brunswick,
assisted in the service. The bishop
preached upon the meaning and im

At night the bishop preached again
upon the two great conclative ideas
of Limstianity, duty and privilege,
a*,.! administered the rite of confirm

young people, and was of unusual in

ra Jones, Marie Ralston, and Fannie
Mason, Messrs. John Piumbe Ever
ett, Noel A. Mitcnell, Jesse D. Thom
as, Johnson H. Pace, and William
K. Ralston.
Altogether the day was a very
bright and ’nappy one for at. Mary’s
church, binding pastor and people
closer together, and will long be re
membered as one of the important
events in its history.
