dies who have the affair in charge
are working very hard to make It a
success in every way. and their exper
ience and ability insure splendid re
sults. The library is a popuar cause
and the effort to raise funds for its
maintenance shorn! he encouraged
and aided by the pubic. The price of
Refreshments will be very reasonable
and their quality of the best.

The Acacia club was entertained by
the Misses Bennitnan Friday after
noon with a very pretty card party.
Five-hand euchre wa played. Miss .Mai
King won the first prize, a gold and
pearl stick pin. The lone-hand prize,
a lace collar, was won by Mrs. James
Dunwody. Miss Fannie Aiken cut the
consolation prize, a pretty pin-cushion.
The score cards were ornamented with
appliqued roses, and the flower fea
ture was carried out. also in the re
freshments, which were unique as
well as delicious. The ice cream was
molded to represent pond lillies and
the cakes were decorated with lilies
of the valley and roses. Those pres
ent were: Misses Mai King, Fannie
Grant Nightengale. Julia Wilder.
