Hon. Emory Speer has designated the Brunswick Daily News as the official organ of the United States Oourt, In bankruptcy proceedings, for (vntin county. . j ■im.i.i.UJ'ji.'um " " PUBLISHERS NOTICE. The News Publishing Company de sires it to be distinctly understood that all legal advertisements must be paid for In advance. We cannot afford to devote our space to such advertise ments and wait on the courts for the money. Election .lay. Now don’t vote early and often. The graft of the ice man is at its best rigid about now. Fred Funston made a fool of himself everywhere lie went. Please bear in mind that today’s contest is "all in the family.” It. looks very much like Joe Terrell will succeed Governor Candler. The way Senator McLuurln is up to that pie counter, is indeed, a cau tion. There may not be anythng but bluff in Roosevelt but be posscses all kinds of luck. As long as the watermelon is not in a trust I'ne colored population .should tie happy. II is lip to Roosevelt to land General Wood and this will, no doubt, be done in good shape. It is gratifying to note how readily the world answered the appeal from the island of Martinique. The industrial development now in progress in this section is a sign of what is coming in the near future. 111 some cities fee authorities have passed laws prohibiting the posting of indecent paper and there is room for si mi liar action hem Represntative Smith, of Michigan, an ardent advocate of good roads, is endeavoring to have congress make a big appropriation for encouraging the extension of the good roads system throughout the United Stall's. We hope congress will take favorably to Mr. Smith’s plan. THE PRIMARY TODAY. Tlie democratic primary to be 'held in Glynn county today for the purpose of nominating a senator, representa tive and county officers, will end a clean but spirited campaign. The different contest have been between gentlemen and as a result mud-aiinging has cut no part. We hope that (tie contests will be just as clean today. Ijet there be no dis graceful scenes around thepolls. And as far as vote buying is concern ed we hardly think thifre will tie any ol fills, it is bad enough for a negro to sell his vote but when a white man gets so depraved he should be invited to leave the city and the purchaser treated in a' like, manner. The News will accord the nominees in tlie primary its hearty support in the general election and every voter should do likewise. A SWINDLE STOPPED. TYie decision of the Postoffice de partment to deny the use of the mails to a Wilkesbarre Ann which bad been carrying on an endless-chain scheme, will be learned with interest by many persons. We know nothing about the partic ular features of the little game whicn has been carried on by this concern and which the government thus de clares fraud, but it is understood that the decision is essentially to the ef fect t’nat any business carried on upon the endless chain system is intrinical ly of a fraudulqnt nature and will be treated likewise by the postofflce auth orities. A fairly conducted lottery is frankly a game of chance, where each person hazards his stake, knowing that he may lose it all or win a big prize just as fortune many degree. He is not to win at theexpenseof someone else ex cept in so far as that, other person has knowingly and willingly entered into tlio game with the same expectations as his own. In the endless chain scheme, on the other hand each person enters with an assurance that the thing will give him something for nothing, while all along it is built on the plan of "the devil take the Yarn!most. The people who lose are great dupes, not, honest gamblers, and it. is a good th.ng that this 'demoralizing, institution is getting some hard taps on all sides. SMALL INDUSTRIES. For a number of years the people of Brunswick have been endeavoring to get. industries and for a long time it looked very much the efforts in this direction would be in vain but things have changed and the dream of the patriotic men who have boon working for their city's good is realized. Now industries are being established here at a rapid rate and it. will only be a short time before the small Industry payrolls will almost support the city. And when anew concern is estab lished begin with them and stay with them. PATRONIZE HOME INDUS TRIES and never send away for an ar ticle If you can possibly get it at home. Quite a striking example of Bruns wick's way occurred a short, time ago when a representative of our cigar lac lory, who was passing through Way cross, endeavored to dispose of some Brunswick made cigars. Ho was the recipient of t'ne horse laugh and further Informed by those folks that they had a factory of their own and were absolutely not in the market lor cigars. But a salesman from the Waycross factory came here and lie sold gisals lo at. least a dozen firms. This is a sample of how we have been standing by our Ytotne insti tutions and a sample of Waycross and bow much sense the business men tlicl'o really have. >S YELLOW POISON in y our blood ?
