A summer languor seems to have
i enveloped the social world at present
and there is very little entertaining
going on. With the mercury cou
queting around the 90 mark our hos
pitable intentions are prone to remain
“intentions” merely and do not eas
ily chystalize into anything morn
tangible or more diverting to our
friends.
Before very long the annual Hitting
to the seashore and mountain will fi
nally close what Ims been a very
bright post-lenten season for Bruns
wick. Already the shirt waist, in end
less variety and "tub dresse'’ • and
bof rilled and light ation-;
not destined'for toe proaiae tub, are
occupying the femine mind with a
view to the usual summer trip. And
these absorbing themes are weight
enough, doubtless, tor ones mind at
this season.
