Jacofli, and such others as may be hereafter associated with them, respect fully show that they desire to be made a body corporate and politic under 1 la laws of the State of Georgia, under and by the of the Cumberland Club; 2 That such corporation will have 110 capital stock, except that derived from asses.nents, initiation fees and monthly dues of its members fixed by its Con stitution and By-Laws. 3. That the purpose and objects for whichyonr Petitioners desire to be in corporated art- not for pecuniary gain, protit or trade but the establishment of .a social organization for the social gathering of its members, with such facilities to promote (he pleasures con venience, kind feeling and social inter course of its members ordinarily apper taining to clubs or bodies formed for like purposes: 4. And your Petitioners desire to have all the powers facilities, rights and privileges necessary and proper to sue eessfuliy maintain the objects of its in corporation. 5. That the principal office of carrying 011 the purposes of said corporation and the place of doing business shall he in the City of Brunswick, County of Glynn and State of Georgia. But with the right and privilege of establishing and conducting a branch club rooms or places of business and doing the business contemplated in and to be authorized under this petitition in such other counties and portions of said State as to the said Cumberland Club or its officers may seem desirable. 7, Petitioners.pray for the power to sue and be sued, of having and using a corporate seal, of succession and of making such by-laws, rules and regulat ions and constitutions and of enforcing the same as it may desire, hot to conflict with the laws of said State or the United States. to be binding and of force upon its members and to alter, r pea! and amend the same at pleasure s. That it may purchase, lease, rent take by deed, own and hold real and personal property and mortgage and convey the same to secure the payment of debt and to be and perform ail other things as may be necessary for the legitimate purposes of said corporation. 9.
