Juno 28. —William Lines Mil i.tiiye, naval .instructor, U. S.. N„ retiied. who stijicrvisod the construc tion of the ill fated battleship Maine at. the Brooklyn navy yard, is dead at his home in Brooklyn. Ho was born in New York city 73 years ag. and entered the naval service in L'l’.J. He became a naval construc tor in lbS'.i. and retired throe years later. At the time of the Spanish war he r* turned to the navy and did active duty for two years. Forest Fires Threaten Disaster. Durango.
