ley, which will occur Wednesday

Mrs. S. C. Atkinson entertained the
Acacia club very delightfully Friday
afternoon with a <k>.rd party. Five
hand euchre was played ami the score
was kept in a very pretty and original
way by pinning flowers upon rib
bons, pink bachelor buttons on white
ribbonsss for the lone-hand tally, and
white bachelor buttons on pink ribbon
for the regular score. The pink and
white color note was promising
tnroughout the decorations and re
freshments; the latter being Roman
punch served with whipped cream and
Maraschino cherries, accompanied by
cocoanut kisses and macarootns. The
fiirst prize, a hand painted fruit dish
was won by Mrs. E. D. Walter; the
lone-hand prize, a China brush and
crumb tray was won by Miss Blanton.

IMPORTANT DECISION.
Rendered in the Bankruptcy Case of
J. A. Smith.
Judge A. J. Crovatt, referee in bank
ruptcy, handed down a very important
decision yepterday in the bankruptcy
case of J. A. Smith. Eleven creditors
of the bankrupt tiled applications to
take back a large percentage of the
goods they had sold Smith. After
bearing evidence Judge Crovatt decid
ed against the creditors and held that
in bankruptcy all creditors must share
alike. Max Isaac represented the
bankrupt and D. W. Krauss and Gale
& Butts represented the creditors.
Trustee C. W. Deming will set aside
to the bankrupt f1,600 worth of his
property as his homestead under the
law.
