The tax ordinance requires payment of the same by July 31, and privides that unless paid by that date execu tion will be issued for the whole amount. The city owns two or three public docks, but only one is used to any treat extent and that is the foot of Monk street.. As the country along the river is now being rapidly developed, the num ber of boats increase until now there is hardly room to accommodate them at tht' public dock. Quite frequently large shell and sand boats monopolize the entire space at the city landing, foot of Monk, and the small crafts of the country traders have to land some other place.
