REBUILDING THE BROKEN DOWN STRUCTURE. PAINE’SCELERY COMPOUND Repairs the Diseased Parts of the Human Body and Establishes Health, Comfort, and Happiness. Can we rebuild our pain racked, emaciated, and wasted bodies? Yes, the work can be done' even though the spark of life glimmers but fitfully and feebly. This work of rebuilding can only be effectually accomplished by the use of Paine's Celery Compound, that marvelous medicine that has sav ed so many lives in the past. Paine’s Celery Compound, nature’s fortifier and builder, acts directly on tile great nervous system, giving pure, vitalizing blood, nerve force, digestive vigor, refreshing sleep, and increased weight. Begin the good work of health build ing today. Take home a bottle of Paine’s Celery Compound, use it faith fully, and you will have cause for re joicing and thanksgiving. Mrs. James Arthur, Spokane, Wash., a lady al most helpless from cruel rheumatism and terrible neuralgia, and cured by Paine’s Celery Compound writes thus: "l have suffered for three years with neuralgia and rheumatism, and tried many different remedies which would give me only temporary relief. From last January, and through the spring months, 1 suffered terribly. 1 could walk but a short distance, anu some days not at all. I used Paine’s Cel ery Compound and have not been trou bled since. Before using the Com pound my knees were so bad 1 eoi pound my knees were so bad I could walk a mile or more every day, with no stiffness or lameness in the joints.” A DARING,WORKMAN. til. I'rjirj tilde, on uu Cnfliilnli.l llriilne Across the Nl n feui-n, “1 remember,” said a bridge con tractor some time ago while on the subject of workmen's dart-deviltries, “when working at the big bridge across the Niagara when the two cuu talever arms had approached within fifty feet of each other u keen rivalry us to who should be the first to cross sprang up among the men. A long plank connected the two arms, leaving about two ami a half feet of support at each end. Strict orders were Issued that no one should attempt to cross tlu> plank upon penalty of instant dis missal, ‘‘At the noon hour 1 suddenly heard a great shout from the men, who were all starting up. Raising my eyes, 1 saw a man step on the end of that plank, stop a minute and look down into the whirlpool below. 1 knew lie was going to cross, and I shouted to him. hut he was too high up to hear. Deliberately he walked out until he reached the middle of the plank, ft sagged far down with his weight until 1 could see light between the two short supporting ends and the cantilevers on which they rested. He saw the eud In front of him do this, hesitated and looked hack to see how the other end was. “I thought he was going to turn. He stopped, grasped both edges of the plank with Ills hands and, throwing his feet up, stood on his head, kicking Ids legs In the air, cracking his heels together and yelling to the terrified on lookers. This he did for about a min ute. It seemed to mo like forty. Then lie let his feet drop down, stood up, waved his hat and trotted along the plank to the other side and regained the ground. “We discharged him, of course, hut what did he care? lie got nil the glo ry, Ids fellows envied him, and he could command work anywhere.”— Cassler's Magazine. FRUITS AND FLOWERS. In planting the orchard care should be taken to allow each tree plenty of room. A layer of charcoal in the bottom of a flower bed is very beneficial in keep ing the soil fresh. In plowing in the orchard always turn the furrow toward the tree, and he careful not to injure the fine, fibrous roots. The life of an apple tree is often shortened because It grows in a poor, exhausted soil, or one not properly drained. When ill or ailing, handle the flowers little or wear gloves. Delicate plants are sensitive to human magnetism, good or had. Tiie roots of the strawberry often reach out five feet from the main stem; hence the plants should not be set too thickly. An apple or cherry tree Is much more valuable If it shoots out low. Trim from the top, as this will cause the lower branches to grow out. Land that has been too rough for plowing may yet he sufficiently fertile to grow fruit trees and is better than land that has been exhausted by crop ping. Try Rob Roy Flour. ..It is the best Notice. I beg to announce to my friends and the public that 1 have removed my business from Newcastle stroet to Og lethorpo and Bay streets, between Gloucester and Monk.
