A Creed.
In fellowship of living things,
in kindred claims of Man and Beast,
In common courtesy that brings
Help from the greater to the least,
In lovie that all life shall receive,
Lord, I believe.
In peace, earth’s passion far above,
In pity, measured not nor priced,
In all souls luminous with love,
Alike in Buddha and in Christ,
In any rights that wrongs retrieve,
Lord, I believe.
In truth tnat falsehood can not span,
In the majestic march of Laws,
That weed and flower and worm and
man
Results from One Supernal Cause,
In doubts that dare and faiths that
cleave,
v Lord, I believe.

Al G. Field.
The big company of ten comedians
with the Al G. Field greater min
strels is neaded by Al G. Field in
person. The greatest living delinea
tor of the negro character and dia
lect is beyond question Al G. Field.
His work stands distinct and alone
in a class by itself. Air. Field has
for years made a study of the negro
as he Is found in every day life, I’ms
character he has transplanted, to the
stage in a manner charming in its
naturalness. The, result has been a
portrayal of the existing types of
the colored race that is as refresh
ing as it Is original. He will be seen
this season in an uptodate program ot
funny isms that is bound ro tickle the
risibilities of his army of admirers.
