Negro Arrested Here Who is Wanted
in Florida.
Frank Dorsey, colored, was arrested
by Officers Burney and Berrte yester
day for disorderly conduct. 1-ater in
the day It was heard that Dorsey was
wanted in Ocala. Fla. The chief of |H>-
lice of that city was wired that the
negro had been caught here and he
replied that he was wanted in Ocala
for shooting a negro woman.
Henry Davis was giyen a prelimi
nary hearing before Justice Conoly
yesterday on the charge of larceny
and was bound over to the city court.
Davis, a few weeks ago. entered Con
ductor Morrow’s caboose and stole a
pair of shoes.
Two or three negroes engaged in
a shooting affray on E street a few
nights ago. Mac Hilliard, one of the
participants, was hii but not seriously
injured.
Mayor Emanuel will hold a session
6T the police court this morning.
