Tne petition of H. S. McCrary, Ed.
Cohen and B. S. C&ihoun all of the
city of Brunswick, said State and
county, and such others as may be
hereafter associated with them snows:
1. That they desire to be made a
body corporate and politic under the
laws ot the State of Georgia under
and by the name' of the McCrary
Transfer, and by and under Unit
name may sue and be sued, contract
and; be "contracted with, plead and be
impleaded, with authority to have, ac
quire, purchase ami have aaul hoM
land, tenements, goods and dial ties
and tile same to mortgage, encum
ber. soli and convey, to have and to
use a corporate seal, to adopt a con
stitution and by-laws and such rules
and regulations as may be advisable
for the benefit of said corporation and
generally to possess and enjoy all the
rights, privileges and powers and be
subject to all the liabilities which are
or may lie usual, necessary and inci
dent to the purposes and objects of
such corporation, specially and usu
ally pertaining and granted to bodies
corporate under the laws of said state.
2. That tne purpose and object for
which your petitioners desire to he
incorporated are to do, transact amt
conduct the business of public dray
men, to transfer, carry and convey
passengers, baggage and freight and
any kind ot goods, wares and nu":-
ehaudise for gain ami profit.
Your petitioners desire to have
ali the powers, facilities, rights and
privileges necessary and proper to
successfully maintain the objects of
its corporation.
4. The capital stock shall be the
sums of two thousand dollars (s2,o(m)
to be divided into shares of one hun
dred dollars each. No part of said
stock has been paid in but petitioners
desire to engage in business as soon
as ten per cent, of the total of said
capital stock is paid into the treas
ury of said corporation.
5. That the principal office ami
place of business for said corporation
shall lie the said city of Brunswick,
said state and county but said corpora
tion shall have the right and pow t to
establish such agencies for the con
duct of its business at other places as
it may see proper.

stockholders and such officers, agents
and employees as may be designated

that they and their associates may be
incorporated for the purposes afore
said for the term of twenty years with

with the capital stock and. for the
purposes aforesaid. And your peti
tioners will ever pray, etc.

NEW LINE.
The work of cutting the right of way
on the B. & B. from a polint on the
line to connect with the Atlantic and
Birmingham has been commenced,
and a large force of hands are now
at work. The following special was
sent from Ocilla yesterday:
"Mr. F. H, Visscher, of the Bruns
wick and 1 Birmingham Railroad in
formed your correspondent that the
work of cutting the right-of-way be
tween Water's Crossing, eight miles
west, of Dougias. and Ocilla. began tiiis
morning and that he expected to have
300 hands on the road before the end
of the week. Mr. Visscher further
stated that the”road would be com
pleted to Ocilla by March 1.
Our people arc higuly elated over
the certainty of Ocilla getting this
important outlet tot this water, as it
will give her choice of two of the lest
seaports on the Atlantic coast.

The Brunswick Riflemen, the Naval
Reserves and a number of citizens left
over the Atlantic Coast. Line yes -
day to attend the state fair today,
which promises to be the most suc
cessful day of the fair. A large runn
ier of the military companies of the
rule will be present.
The Rifilemen carried about 30
members, while the Naval Militia car
ried about, twenty, under Ensign .). \V
Bailey. Tire boys wii! spend today at
the fair a.nd will return to the city to
morrow morning.
