All of (he members of the Brunswick police force were summoned to appear at The city hall h?t night. Most of toe members did not kno.v what the meeting was to be held let. while others were looking for just what came. Mayor Emanuel was present and gave the police quite,a lengthy- lec ture on politics, advising them not pj mix in the present campaign. it will be remembered that the first part of the year, a resolution was passed by council, putting the police under the civil service rule. Tile city board of registrars will con vene in the office of the county com missioners at 3 o’clock tills afternoon for the purpose canvassing the list of voters in tne coming municipal elec tion. In this connection it may he. of in terest to say that such of our citizens who were absent from the d.,y before the registration books were opened and continued away until they were closed are entitled to be placed on the list of registered voters.
