“YOU’LL MOSE.”
State of Georgia, County of Glynn.
Personally appeared before the undersigned, H. i. Brady, who, be
ing duly sworn, deposes and says:
That immediately after the last municipal election he approached
F. E.Twittv Esq. relative to securing an appointment to the position of
city jailer.' Mr. Tvvitty replied that lie understood that he--Brady—was
objectionable as a policeman to seme of the colored pcpulaticn--cf which
Mose Sawyer was one. However, if he would secure the endorsement of
Mose Sawyer He-=Twitty--would guarantee his election to said position.
This deponent declined to do and as a result of such declination he was
not considered in the making up of the officers under the present ad
ministration. H. H. BRADY
Sworn to and subscribed before me this December 3,1902.
W. NUSSBAUM,
Notary Public, Glynn County, Ga.
Mr. Brady is a well known Brunswick gentleman some sixty years
old. He served as a patrolman under the administration of Hon. D. D.
Atki non, as mayor, and his record for efficiency, duty, sobriety and gen
eral correctness was at all times unquestioned. Ihe public is invited to
consider his affidavit above before continuing in power the people who
subjected him to this humiliation.
