and successful affair, judging by the
enthusiasm and hard work of the la
dies in charge. Tomorrow is the last
day for donations and every one is re
quested to hunt up something to send

ning by Mr. ami Mrs. <’. T. I’linan,
celebrating their tin wedding, was a
very pleasant. a..air. About seventy
live guests attended ami quantities of
presents wore received as well as
many congratulations and good wishes,
from the numerous friends of this pop
ular couple. The house was tasteful
ly decorated in green and silver with
palms, ferns and cut flowers adding to
the effect. The dining room ana faldo
were very pretty. The centerpiece of
choice rosea with tripling green Vines,
ihade the table a lovely picture, when
delicious refreshments wore served.
Mrs. (talaan was gowned becomingly
in white and was assisted in receiving
by Sirs. Emmett Calnan and Mrs. Wat
ers. The evening was a charming sue
cess, and was thoroughly enjoyed by
the large number of guests.

AT THE OGLETHORPE.
The dinner given Monday evening
at the Oglethorpe by Mis. Edward
Welchman in honor of Miss Sarah
Walifo. was one of the prettiest and
most enjoyable affairs of the season.
Covers were laid lor six. and a deli
cious menu of eleven courses was dain
tily served. Those present were: Mis
Sarah Waldo, Miss Lucille Butts, Mi
Leslie Units. Mrs. A. M. Smith and
Mrs. Hoyt W. Gale..

were served. The lady’s first prize
was won by Miss Sarah Waldo, the
gentleman’s hint prize by B. P. Cole
man. The lady's lone hand prize was
won. by Miss Jennie Bryan, gentle
man’s first by A C. Banka, Jr. The

Bessie Syttirijes and H. F. du Bignon.
The. score cards were very novel, be

reception Friday evening from eight to
eleven tn honor of the twentieth unite
versary of their wedding. This was
one or the largest and most elegant
affairs ever given in Brunswick and all
society attended. Mr. pud Mrs..Coney
received their guests in the parlor,
which was decorated in green with
quantities of choice roses aud terns.
The hall was in Japanese decorations
