C. “If every suffering woman has the same experience with Wine of Cardut that I had, your medicine will be most popular. About a year ago I began to have a worn out tired feeling with lassitude, pains in the back and head which kept increasing every month. I felt that I needed something, but to get the right medicine was the trou ble. I finally decided on your Wine of Cardui and only needed to take three bottles when I was fully re coveted.” HEN Miss Hose Owens, who lias a responsible position in the Government service at Washington, I>. decided to try Wine of Cardui, she made a wise choice. Over a million women have been relieved of female weakness bv this name Wine of Cardui. It is not a strong medicine but may be taken every day in the year by any woman with benefit. It does nut force results, but corrects derangements of the menstrual organs. It strengthens the nervous system, gives tone to the bodily func tions, acts directly on the genital organs, and is the finest, tonic for wo men known to the science of medicine. In England people of moderate means tire beginning to insure themselves against surgical operations, says Har per's Weekly. Ttfe plan is that sub scribers who pay an annual fee shall be entitled either to free admittance to a hospital or nursing at borne and a free operation or to a fixed sum paid down to defray the cost of an opera tion if one becomes necessary. In England, as here, the cost of surgical repulrs to the human body has become oppressively great to persons who just manage to pay their way. People who are obviously poor got a great deal of excellent surgical and medical treat ment in hospitals and elsewhere for nothing, but for the next class above them n serious illness, especially if It. Involves an operation, is almost ruin ous. It would seem as if the time was near when societies for insurance against specialists might be profitably organized In the larger American cities. The specialist has come to be a very Important—lndeed, an Indispensable— institution, especially to families in which there are children. The office of the family doctor has now become simplified to the task of coming in and telling the patient which specialist to go to. It Is not Unit specialists charge too much, for their honorable services are above price. It is that landlord, butcher, baker, grocer, milkman, coal man, dentist and trained nurse do not leave you money enough to pay them appropriately. To subscribe a consid erable sum unnually and have all the repairs and desirable Improvements made in one’s family without further disbursement would be a Comparative ly simple way out of n troublesome predicament. Kite Flylnx Tn Italy. The Italian government lias made an appropriation for the establishment of kite stations for the determining of temperature and currents of the upper air. They will be established on high mountains. Another plan for kite ob servations from steamships near the equator is also being perfected. EDWIN W. DART, Atorney and Counselor at Law. Court house, Brunswick, Ga. Tile Model Arm? of the World. What army was the strongest of its time? Judging by results, the Roman army was so from the fifth century B. O. onward until the division of the empire, its fighting organization war as complete ns and possibly more prim tieal than that of any army of today. It was based on a territorial system which maintained the comradeship of locality without bringing It into an tagonism with that of the corps, for each of the thirty live Roman “tribes” was required to furnish to each legion four “centuries” of 120 men, each of which worked together ns a local unit. The legion was divided into live co horts or battalions, of which three were troops of the line, two were a kind of militia and the fifth was a de pot battalion. For almost eight centu ries the army thus constituted not only com |tiered the then known world, but acted as explorers beyond its Hurts, and at the same Eric made and un made kings and cmpi rors in Rome it self. In modern times the Prussian ar my. which woe .id down and Sedan and overran both Austria and France, was the ftromjest the world haw known.—Londor Answers. ..TO LET—A newly furnished coiner rom on first floor with southern expo sure and use of bath for single man.
