Hon. Emory Speer has designated The Brunswick Daily News as the official organ of the United States Court, In bankruptcy proceedings, for t>:ynn county. TELEPHONE 188. PUBLISHERS NOTICE. The News Publishing Company de sires it to lie distinctly understood that all legal advertisements must lie paid for in advance. We cannot at lord to ilevoto our space to such ad \crtlsemeuts and wait on the courts ter the money. Who is president of the li. & 11- today? A friend in need —well, lie is gen erally a curiosity. After the great rain and now Contes a season of sunshine. Washington is not Washington with out Roosevelt. No curiosities. The city of many schools and churches, good roads and good streets is always a prosperous one. It is about time for Brunswick to have another convention. It lias been a long time since the last one. Savannah is kicking about too much water. We always heard and hat the folks there had no love for water. It appears to us that the dealers In whitewash could get a large order now by applying to the postoffice depart ment. •...■ * ' * ' If that old sayiug about believing nothing you hear and half yon see was lived up to what a crowd of skep- Jcs we would have. ■ < .... t ■ ' " ' News advertising was never so pop ular The merchants seems to have found out that it is the place to reach the people. Willie Heai'st and his bride are spending some time in Europe and the trusts are having a vacation. Willie is certainly always after them. If there is an unwritten law ag niust Mr. Cleveland holding (lie office of president three times there ought certainly he one against Mr. Bryan trying to get it. three times. Wonder what Editor Watterson, of the esteemed Louisville Courier Jour nal, thinks these days when he reads what the average papers of the coun try are saying about Hon. Grover Cleveland? The people of Brunswick stand to gether more colsely today than they have at any period in recent years and this is on of the reasons why the city is malting such rapid commer cial strides. In a letter to a Georgia editor Mr Cleveland says he never desired to lead the democrats a fourth time. It makes no difference what lie desires the party wants him and he should lead us again. He is the man to do it. An exchange tell of an editor who recently stated that lie liad kissed one of the most beautiful married wo men in the town. He faithfully prom ised to tell her name iti the first is sue of fiis paper the next month. In tw'o weeks the circulation of his pa per doubled but when he gave the name he had to ieave town. I was hit wlit. WHAT A WOMAN DID. There are a great many men, who ought to know better, who believe that a woman’s sphere is inside the home, presiding as a domestic genius over the frying-pan, the stew pot, and other implements of culinary comfort or, as the case often is, culinary tor ture. Such men profess a sense of shock when they see a woman emerging from live narrow limits to which they would confine her and, In the broad field of public affairs, accomplishing things of groat import to ihe people among whom she lives. . The woman who starts out to do something of this sort usually meets tiio sneer of discouragement. This article concerns a woman who “just would not be discouraged”. She saw that the belter elements would stand by her and she went to work with a vim that made some of her men critics ashamed of themselves. She persisted, she perfected an or ganization I lint represented the best brains and energy of the cily. She attended lo every detail and was al ways equal to any emergency and it is needless to tay that she won and hands down at that. The above tells about a young lady of Tampa but there is a great deal I lo think about in it and there are many women who should follow ihe example of ibis young lady. WORRIED ABOUT NEW YORK. The republicans are still very much worried about, the situation ir. New York and in our judgement they cert- tainly have a right, to be. The situation there is not. sunshine and roses for Teddy and his party and the worst of it is that llie breach in the party is growing wider all the time while every effort to make peace has been a dismal failure. If the thing keeps up tain:!) lon ger there will be no chance for a set tlement and (lien the democrats will have-na easy time in lakisg the state. The New York situation and the Itostoffice scandals are thorns in the side of the president and his friends and unless lie gels to doing some thing at once those two tilings are going to cause them more trouble than I hey ever dreamed of. In the meantime the democrats of the great state are getting together and the chances for the success of our party are gelling better every day and that the situation will remain the same is our hope. LET THEM GO. Wo liopo that ovory Glynn couuy Confofloralo Veteran will attend the convention at New Orleans and we believe that those who are not able to spare the money for the trip will will he doing nothing wrong by ac cepting it from those veteran loving people who desire to have the old warriors once more meet their old comrades. This will he the last convention many of them will attend, it is here that they will meet their old friends of tin* dark days and we say led them go. Hear the old Confederate bugle blow once again because before this time next year many of them will have heard taps for the last time. If there are veterans here who want help they should got it and the News will In* one of the first institutions to respond. v , LET THE NAME ALONE. We <lo not Know liow our Episco- I'it! ministers stand on iV; qnos lon of l In) proposed plan ' > change the name of the Episcopal church in t.eosgia, wlTeh is to *>e acted on at (lie diocese touventio.i to he held in Snvrnnali '.iii week. I 1 or our ;;it lio\ ever, cn. we are ..liognoJ wi ll ihat church, we can see no reason for changing from the Episcopal church lo the Catholic church of Am erica. The various members of the con vention are widely apart on the ques tion as noted from several insert ,e\vs recently published from a. number of flic pastors from several cities in the state. Wo no not propose to enter into a lengthly discussion of this subject here hut there are thousands of good reasons why this change should not not he made and we are indulgiug in the hope that the convention will have the good judgement to see it that way and defeat the proposed measure. AVo are of the opinion that if this mailer wa- left to r. ,to of the men hers of the eiiurrh in the state it would fail by au immense majority. INVIGORATED HOW A WOMAN COT HER STRENGTH BACK. She Took Our Vinol with Good Results. WE WANT EVERY ONE TO KNOW ABOUT iT. READ WHAT WE HAVE TO SAY. COME AND SEE US. We don’t want, any one in this city to drag themselves through life in pain and misery for the want of enough strength to feel well and happy. If you feel listless, without ambition and run down, it is a bad sign. You are running grave chances. You arc in a condition to be attacked by most any disease. This feeling of debility Is a symptom that your system is generally demoral ized. You should take a tonic. You should take Vinol, which we know and will guarantee will restore your strength. Following is one case where it did this. Mrs. T. 11. Hoyle, of 50 Chestnut St., West Newton, Mass., says: “Last spring 1 used one bottle of Vinol. At that time 1 was all run down and sick. I find that it did me lotsof good, and by its use my strength came back to me.” Viuol is a delicious preparation, con taining the active curative principles that are found in cod-liver oil, dis solved in a delicate table wine. Vinol acts directly on the stomach, aiding digestion and at the same, time creating a healthy appetite. It gives strength and vigor to every organ of the body. We endorse Vinol, and guaran tee its action, and will gladly refund to any one who is not satisfied the money which they paid for it. MORGAN’S DRUG STORE.
