Brunswick Defeats Fernandina.
The colored base ball club of this
city played a match game with the
Fernandina nine yesterday, which re
sulted in g complete victory for the
local club. The score was 14 to 8, in
favor of the home team.
A Cutting Affray.
At an early hour this morning a
cutting scrape occurred between two
colored women, Rasa Hill and Mar
tha Laws. The latter did some very
severe work on the former and was
arrested. She gave bond for her ap
pearance at the next session of the
city court.
Going Right Ahead.
The construction work on the new
church now being built by the mem
bers of the Second Advent congre
gation of this city is being pushed
very rapidly, -and from all indications
it is more than apparent that the
building will be finished oil schedule
time.. , > , vi-
Talking Golf.
The members of the golf club are
practicing for the match game with
the Darien team, which is to occur
in the course of a week or so. The
Dajtien aggregation is the swiftest
in this section of the state and the
local team will have to do some very
nice work to win a game from 'them.
