R. held an interesting meeting yesterday afternoon. It was decided to give a series of matinees, presented by local talent, during the month of June. The matinee will oc cur each Friday in June and will be a pleasant diversion for the ladies and children of this city. At this meet ing Rev. C. G. Bradley was elected chaplain of the Brunswick chapter. Attractive programs will be arranged for each occasion and the innovation will doubtless prove very popular. • • Master Franklin Aiken celebrated his , seventh birthday yesterday with a very enjoyable party, at which he entertained his little boy friends. Af ter playing various games, the little folks enjoyed refreshments, served at fresco, on the lawn and veranda. Those present were: William Dunwody, Sydney Fleming, Jack Montgomery, Frederick Walter, Joe Bennett, Ross Rede, Kenneth liede, Stanley Brob ston, , Good’ Advice. Nicholl and Howard Williams, of Glynn county and said state, and H. F. Nicholl, of the town of Mandarin and state of Florida, respectfully shows unto the court: . 1. That petitioners desire for them selves, their associates, successors and assigns, to he incorporated under the corporate name and style of “The Bello River Packing Company." 2. That the term for which petit ioners desire to be incorporated is twenty years, with the right and priv ilege of renewal at the end of that time as allowed by law. 3. Thiit the object of said corpora tion is pecuniary profit to be derived in its business: and the particular business petitioners propose to con- Iduct is the planting and cultivation cf oysters and other shell fish, in any and all of the sounds, bays, waters, estuaries, rivers and creeks on the coast of Georgia, and within the jur isdiction of said state or of any oth er state; and also the buying and sell ing and canning of oysters, clams, and other shell fish, shrimp, prong, turtle, terrapin, vegetables, fruits, and food products of all kinds which can be profitably .“'dd or canned. 4. That the priWipal office of said company shall hX in Brunswick, Glynn county, Georgia, with tho right and privilege of establishing branches and agencies for transaction and con duct of its business in any other county of said state, or in any other state or territory or In any foreign country. „ , That tho capital stock of the said company shall be the sum of twenty five thousand dollars ($25,000) divided into shares of tho par value of one hundred dollars each, with the right and privilege at any time upon a vote of the majority of the stockholders of said company to increase said cap ita! stock to an amount not exceeding one hundred and fifty thousand do! lars 5. Petitioners desire to be incorpor ated as aforesaid with the following rights, privileges and powers, and with the power? and privileges above set out and prayed for. to-wit: To buy, lease own and hold real and personal property of ary and all kind or de scription, ineident to the business of said company, and necessary for the operation of said canning business, with the right to sell and dispose of. encumber, lease or mortgage any and all of said property real or personal so owned by said company. To plant and cultivate oysters and any other kind of property desired by said com pany to bo owned and cultivated. To blorrow money a;nd issue the obli gations of the company therefor and to secure tho payment thereof by deed, mortgage or otherwise as may be deemed best by the board of di rectors of said company; to contract and be contracted with; sue annd be sued; plead and be impleaded; to have and use a common seal; to make rules, regulations and by-laws for the management and control of said com pany by its officers; that the stock! may be paid for either in cash, or (n f lieu thereof in property real and per sonal and of any character that can he used in said business; which said valuation shall be fixed by petitioners upon organization and election of board of directors; that more than ten per cent, of the capital stock has al ready been paid in; to buy and hold stock in any other corporation of cor porations; that the stockholders in said company shall be liable for the amount of unpaid sffock subscription; and generally to do all and any and every act and thing necessary and proper to he done in the conduct of the business of the company, not in consistent with (he charter of said company, or the by-laws of said com pany or She laws of said state. Eight vessels were reported at the bar yosteutay and they will lie lowed into port today.
