A bill is now' pending before the Michigan legislature, saye the Ameri e s Press, the purpose of which is to cause to he put to death all peo ple who are hopelessly insane. In support of the hill it is argued that it would relieve them of much anyone who is hopelessly insane would he better off dead than alive hat it would relieve them of much mental and phylcal pain, and at ihr same time he a relief to the living who have to care for them. It is argued further that it would relieve the slate of a very burdensome expense, and tie in the interest of greater happiness to the living. The author of the hill must he a barbarian; u man with a marble heart and conscinee hardene i by an inhu man spirit. He may b ■ very siueero in believing that his Dili is righteous one, and that it ought to pass; if so it is proof positive that he is a very degenerate creature. We cannot he lleve lhal the hill will be enacted Into law by Iho Michigan legislature In deed we shall ho surprised if any rep rosenlatlve in that body, other than its author, supports the Dill In any manner whatever. In spirit and scope it Is heartless and inhuman. It de serves to he unanimously frowned up or. r.nd buried hovond ary hope of resurrection. OUR BARGAINS FROM NAPOLEON.
