YOUNG PASSES AWAY Died Yesterday After an Illness of Some Time. Mrs J. O. Young, aged 03, passed away yesterday afternoon at her home on Fgmont street, after an illness of several days. Mrs. Young has been ill for some .im@ an! her death was no shock to those familiar with her condition. However she died very suddenly, as she was resting easy shortly before her death. Probable That Augusta Will Be Selected as the Place. Tlie following from yesterday’s Sa vananh News will lie of interest in Brunswick, inasmuch as the Riflemen ire members of the First regiment: The committee from the military and chamber of commerce, composed of Mayor Myers, Col. P W. Meldrim, ’ol G. A. Gordon, and Col. ,T. H Estill, which waited on Governor Ter rell to ascertain ids pleasure concern ing Die coming encampment of the First regiment qI infantry and caval ry, returned from Atlanta yesterday. Tin; members of the First regiment are anxiouly awaiting news from Au gusta The governor having said I hat if that city wnouM raise sl. hip for the encampment, the First and Third regiments would be assigned to that, point, the action of the citi zens is being watched with r.nterest. I It. is believed here that the gover nor will receive an answer from that city today. In that event Col. G. A. Gordon, commanding the First in fantry, would probably receive or ders from Ibe governor at once. If Augusta does not subscribe to the condition imposed Griffin will be desi gnateed.
