Estate Must Notify City Clerk,
extract from Section 61 City Code:
All persona transfering or acquiring
real property, shall notify the clerk
of council In writing, of the fact of
such transfer, before the first day of
April, following such transfer, and in
case transfers of real property shall
not be so notified to the' clerk, then
the same may he taxed as ths prop
erly of the person last returning same
and shall be subject in like manner as
if no transfer had been made.” As
will be seen from the foregoing only
six days remain in which to cut out
said transfers from returns for 1903:
the attention of parties transfering
property is particularly directed to
this extract from ths code, as a fail
ure to notify this office, of the names
of the transferrees and a description
f tlis property, so transferred, makes
the party last returning same, liable
for 1903 taxes. When such notice has
been given, and ths trausferroe fails
to make return thereof, by the first
day of May of any year, said prop
erty is liable to execution, viz:

If on the first day of May of any year,
there is any such real estate In said
city as has not been so returned by
lie owner er claimant thereof it shall
be the duty of ths clerk to issue an
execution against said real estate
which has mot been so returned by
