The News Publishing Company de alt ea it to be distinctly understood that ad legal ndvoiTAiemeuls must he paid tor in advance. We cannot af ford to devote our space to such ad vitiomeuLs aud wait on the courts for the money. Something may yet come of the I steel plant. We must not give up 100 soon. Thousands of people have been vic tims ol' floods and cyclones during I lie past few weeks. . I Servia’s new king says the assas sins should bo punished—but he wink ed the otlior eye. It is said the Bulgaria, another of the Balkan stales, will lie the next to murder her monarch. The press reports are frill of cala maties these days aud we really do Know what io expert ntfki. The teachers of the state will find that Cumberland is an ideal place for them to meet evry year. South Georgia is the field for the stock raiser and the sooner lie Hints it out the better off he will be. Those who can possibly do should go wilh the liifleinen to St. Simon tomorrow Wight. Encourage the hoy* The watermelon crop in this section is short. The had weather the first, of the season ruined nearly everything. Wo are delighted too see that the mayor lias issued a "move on” order for Monk street aud we hope that tiie police will enforce 11. Do you notice that the News gives all the great happenings 'hroughout the world just as sjuu as tiie papers of the larger cities? Since the niuitiilo in the police de partment is till settled the force is ..u.ug good work and t lie members are unde' good discipline. Gloucester street is having another coat o£ sheols after which Augusta gravel will be used and it will be the best street in the city. It is said that the president is los ing patience with Columbia and that further delay may cause biui lo look at the Nicaragua route again. The Hoard of Tdade has done good work in the past and its future is still brighter. The members should coutitiue to take great interest iu the organization, it is our hope of the future greatness of Brunswick. TVt number of professional men ♦lie various colleges are turning out now is really alarming. In a few years there will be a half dozen prof essional men to every one mechanic and it should be Just the opposite. During the teachers convention at Cumberland tine News will have a eor respomlant there and the minute de tails of the great gathering will he printer! dally iu these columns. We will also have a carrier to Cumber land who will place a paper in the bauds of every teacher tree of charge during their *ujr, si. PINE KNOT FACTORY. Following is from the Albany Her ald: ‘‘For some reason there has sprung up at Savannah a well defined spirit 'of opposition of the new process of making turpentine and other pine pro duets. Rightly called it is known a the distillation of pine woods, but the plants are referred to by those who want to discredit them as “pine knot factories.” ‘‘Recently the Naval Stores Review, a Savanna'll publication devoted to the ! naval stores interest, gave the new ! pine products process a roast, declar ing that the products of this were not 1 marketable until they were refined, and, that it was not practicable In the piney worlds where skilled chemists were not plentiful. "We have one of I hose pine pro ducts plants now about com pleted and ready to begin operation near the city and the enterprise i being hacked by Albany capital. Foi this reason the Herald is glad to pub li.sh the following encouraging note from Moultrie, where one of these pine products plants lias been ill sueces; lul operation for some lime: “Those who feared that a market could not ho found for the products of the Georgia Naval HI ores com pany’s plant have had their fears set at naught. The plant, is running day and night and is unable to keep up with its orders. Despite the war wag ed on it at Savannah by certain par ties tine spirits have gone into the mar liet and won a victory." There is no reson in the world why we cannot have just such a factory here. There is no doiilil about il paying. WE WELCOME THE TEACHERS The News is extremely glad that the teachers of Ibis great state are to meet near us. We can assure them that during their short stay is our city il is theirs and our only regret is that they can not remain here longer. The teachers of Georgia are a noble set, Devoting the lives to the future generation; patient and self sacriii eiug, why should we not love them and honor them May they ramie and eouie in large numbers am) may their stay he lull of pleasure as well us work. la high prices St. I amis has Buffalo ‘‘skinned to death." This will serve to keep a few million from seeing the big show. Citation. GEORGIA* GLYNN COUNTY. Dudley II Asbell, executor of the estate I,f Mary W.
