There is uo earthly love like that
of a mother's love.
A man may be vile and wicked in
the extreme, polluted und tilihy lu
word and work aud spirit; Uo may
be a stench in the uoslruiis of his
Ic-llow man, despised, hated and frown
ed upon by the world at large, but
nun moaner will cmig to him still, and
while others look upon him lu con
tempt she will look upon him in love,
while others strike him down she will
rally to him and lift him up,, while
others curse and spit upon him she
will speak worus ol love and pin bo
uucls upon the lapel of his coat.
A mother's love! no words have ev
er yet neeu corned in any language
strong enough or beautiful enough to
luilj impress or portray the length,
the breadth, the depth, the height—
the uuoviess of it
a man may lose the respect aud
fnedship ui every ope else, gU per
sons related to hua by UM consau
guinlty, by friendship, by nationality,
may despise and forsake him but his
mother will cling to him with a ten
derness of love which Is inspiring and
I divine.
This fart Is often .exemplified In life
and has Just been pathetically dem
onstrated in connection with tho as
nasi nation of King Alexander, of Ser
vla.
j His career was blighted and blotted
by great profigacy and heinous wick
edness the people of his country, be
cause of this fragrantly objectionable
life, rose up against him and put him
to a shameful death, burying his body
with all the contempt that could be
heaped ujiou it, kicking It Into a
roughly prepared grave with not as
much respect as they would have giv
en to the dead carcass of of an ordi
nary beast of the field; and yet not
withstanding ail these vile indigni
ties which an enraged people have
heaped upon his name, Ihis life, his
body and his memory we behold the
Bad but impressively beautiful sight
of his mother, ex-Queen Natalie, plead
ing for the privilege of going to his
grave that she might behold the spot
beneath which rests Line torn and tat
tered body of her son. A mother’s
iove! Who can define or describe it?
Who can picture it in the real spir
it its full measure and its exquisitely
tender beauty will be perfectly por
trayed? Not you, nor I, nor any hu-
ariuii hand or tongue.
A father, a brother, a sister, a friend
may forsake a man but bis mother will
never turn against him. Pathetic pic
tu.iols that of Queen Natalie as she
stands wiathi tearful eyes and pleading
words asking that she may go to the
grave of her son. She is ready and
waiting to travel for many miles, and
bear the hisses of a thronging multi
tude in order to declare her love for
her son, though he died an ingomf
nious death ami has gone to a grave
besmeared with shame and disgrace.
Verially, as Mrs. Hemau’s has beau
tifully written in hier “Siege of Val
encia’’:
'There are none.
In all this cold aud hollow world.
No fount of deep, strong deathless
love.
Save that within a mother's heart.

Weak
Hearts
Ar due to indigestion. Ninety-nine
of everyone hundred people who have
heart trouble can remember when it
was simple indigestion. It is a scien
tific fact that all cases of heart dis
ease, not organic, are not only trace
able to, but are the direct result of
indigestion. Ail food taken into the
stomach which fails of perfect diges
tion ferments and swells the stomach,
puffing it up against the heart. This
interferes with the action of the heart,
and in the course of time that delicate
but vital organ becomes diseased.
Kodol

Mrs. Lorine Nichols of Pern Yan. N. Y .
writes: After eating, my food v/ou!d distress

become very weak, finally I got a bottle cf
Kodol and It gave me immediate relief. After
